general terms & conditions for lavendera

terms & conditions apply to our pick up & delivery laundry service.

introduction
welcome to lavendera laundry! by using our services, you agree to comply and be bound by the following terms & conditions.
when we say “us” or “we”, we’re referring to lavendera. the term “you” refers to you, our valued client.

customer agreement & terms of use

  • pricing: all prices are inclusive of GST.
  • laundry process: everything in your laundry bag gets washed and dried together. we don’t always inspect care labels, so please make sure all items can be washed and dried in the same load.
  • sorting laundry: we don’t sort by colour or type. it’s your responsibility to separate whites from colours and general clothing from household items like tea towels and bedsheets.
  • tumble drying: ensure your items are suitable for tumble drying; we aren’t liable for any shrinkages.
  • checking pockets: please check all pockets for loose items, hazardous materials, and valuables. we aren’t responsible for items lost or damaged during the cleaning process.
  • preferences: you can specify washing and drying preferences (e.g. hot or cold wash, high or low drying temperature) during online ordering. if no preferences are provided, we default to a cold wash and medium dry.
  • extras: additional services like laundry soaking agents, fabric softeners, stain removers, and manual stain removal are available at extra cost.
  • weight measurement: we weigh your laundry during pick up, with a minimum order weight of 8kg. if you’re unsure about the weight, input the minimum order (8kg), and we’ll adjust the charge based on the exact weight of your laundry.
 fees & payment
  • for individual clients: if you’ve saved a payment card in our system, we’ll charge it once we complete the laundry process and your items are ready for delivery.
  • for business clients (and individual clients with no saved payment card): we’ll send you an invoice, which must be paid by the due date. late payments incur a fee of $15. if you can’t pay on time, please contact us to discuss payment arrangements. unpaid invoices may lead to involvement of a third-party debt collector, and you’ll be responsible for any additional costs incurred in recovering the debt.

lost item policy
we can handle your items with the utmost care. in the rare event that something goes missing, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving your laundry. we’ll investigate thoroughly. if we confirm an item was lost during our process, we’ll compensate you up to the value of the lost item. 

changes to terms
lavendera reserves the right to update these terms & conditions at any time. any changes will be posted on our website.
